Wilbert "June" Bibbs Jr. , 69, a native of Donaldsonville, Louisiana departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2022 at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was born December 31,1952 to the late Wilbert Bibbs Sr. and Pearly Richardson Bibbs. He was the third of four children and raised in Smoke Bend, Louisiana. With permission of his parents, he was raised by his grandparents. He was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. James Delaney at First Baptist Church of Smoke Bend, Louisiana. There he sang in the junior choir and participated in many church programs. He became a deacon at an early age and served on the deacon board there. Later, he served as a Deacon at Little Zion Baptist Church. In 2006, he joined Holy Trinity Community Baptist Church and became ordained as a deacon and served until his death.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two children, Bertrelle Williams and Arnjel Bibbs, one granddaughter, one goddaughter, Tamica Mitchell, Companion, Helen Mitchell, one sister, Gwendolyn (Gerald) Dean, one cousin/brother, Charles (Anita) Hansberry, one uncle, McArthur (Margie) Williams, one aunt, Laural Smith and two brother in laws, Ellis Minor and Joe Ray Lewis, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and close friends and his church family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, two sisters, one aunt, one nephew and one great nephew.
